Why Chose Trinity Hall for Postgrads…

The first, and arguably the most important question. Well, to explain that, we need to break it down into its two main parts, why Trinity Hall as a College, and why Trinity Hall as an MCR.

Trinity Hall the College

Whilst I could go on for hours about why this is the best college. With amazing facilities, a beautiful site, great support and plenty going on, I’m not sure what else you could want! But, if you still need convincing – I’ll let our main college website do the talking.

Trinity Hall the MCR

Arguably far more important, as this is what will truly define your time at Cambridge. The MCR itself is broken up into three main things, the community, the space, and what we get up to.

The Community

As expected from being a smaller college, we are a smaller MCR, roughly 350 people, made up of PhD, masters and fourth year undergraduate students, as well as post-doctoral research associates. From being smaller, we have a much closer community. Because of this, many of our members are able to regularly attend Halls, swaps and all other events.

Our small size doesn’t track over to our social space, located on the front court of central site, broken up into two rooms, the red room and the blue room.

The Blue Room

The blue room is our ‘louder space’ – comprised of sofas, chairs, boardgames and our bar, this is the social focal point of the MCR.

The Red Room

The quieter of the two rooms, the red room is one of the best places to relax and get a bit of work done.

What we get up to..

Isn’t this a loaded question. From Grad halls to superhalls, garden parties, welfare teas, bops, boardgame nights, film screanings, and so much more, the easier question would be what we don’t get up to. If you want to see more, check out our term card, freshers week timetable and MCR gallery to see more.

Additionally, we have several MCR societies, sports and more. If there is anything you want to see that we don’t currently do, we can help make that happen!
